The Olympus VN-960PC digital voice recorder records in ADPCM (Adaptive Differential Pulse Code Modulation) WAVE audio format.
The three recording quality modes provide options for recording high-quality sound files or expanding the memory capacity by using a lower-quality recording mode.The VN-960PC also has options for setting an alarm or configuring the recorder to automatically record unattended for a pre-set time period. The microphone and earphone jacks allow the use of audio accessories.
The bundled Digital Wave Player software and USB cable enable the downloading of audio files to a computer, where they can be managed and archived. The Digital Wave Player software supports the renaming of audio files and creating custom folders for archiving files.

I have an olympus VN-960 and have had trouble uploading the files to my computer. I was so excited to find this program thinking it would solve my problem but when I installed it and tried to upload, my computer still didn't recognize my recorder. any ideas?
this doesnt support the vn-960.

What you've done is much appreciated, but after installing I get a box saying - "The compressed (zipped) Folder ‘[name of folder]’ is invalid."
I cannot open it. I'm using Windows Vista. Any ideas?

I had recorded my childrens' voices and conversations when they were around a year old. Lost the cd and thought I wouldn't be able to get those little voices on an email to my family. They're now three years old. I appreciate it so much. Thanks for you help:)

How did you know that I would be traveling with my laptop ...get a virus in Uganda and lose all software.... then be in Dharsm. India and want to record the Buddhist teachings that I attend but can't upload from my Olypmus recorder because I lost the software?

Thanks for the software! For some reason Olympus wants $20 for a replacement software disk if you've lost the original one. I don't know why they don't just make it available as a free download like so many other companies do.
Im glad everyone else was able to use this software, but I cannot get it to install on my XP machine. Guess ill have to look elsewhere.

Hello! I desperately need this software, but each time I try to download it it says: "This user has exceeded their quota for public file downloads today. Try again later!"
What can I do to get this software from you? I subscribed to myDataBus to get it (because it told me it would add the file to my account), but then they did not. I'm quite desperate to get the program because I am overseas and have no chance of getting the software directly from Olympus. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me.
I can't download because it says the user has ggoven to many downloads. Is this permanent?

I can't understand why Olympus hosts the download, but doesn't link to it anywhere. Wait, yes I do, they want you to buy the CD instead.
